At this meeting, industry experts introduced the advance status of 5G research, exchanged the latest research results, discussed the development direction of 5G antennas, and added the intuitive content of 5G communication technology online demonstration, which demonstrated the operation mode of UAV small base stations on the spot. UAV small base stations may become a milestone in the development of emergency communications. 

5G commercial: antenna technology is the foundation. 

With the commercial use of 4G license plate in China, by the first half of 2015, 4G communication network has fully covered the areas above the township level. 

At present, the construction of mobile communication network continues to speed up. According to statistics, as of September 2015, the total number of mobile communication base stations in China has reached 4.077 million, of which the total number of 3G/4G base stations has reached 2.944 million, accounting for 72.2% of the total. 3G hand 4G network service quality and coverage continue to improve. 

But this is just the beginning. 

LTE construction is in the ascendant, 5G mobile communication technology has begun extensive research, China may take the lead to launch 5G communication network, and the peak rate of 5G will reach 10G per second, the current antenna system is difficult to meet such a high network demand. 

Qiao Yueshan, deputy director of the Electronics Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, attended the meeting and said in a speech, "China should strive to occupy an important position in the development of 5G, while 5G commercial enterprises also strive to be in the forefront of the world." 

Although the antenna system accounts for a small proportion of the new mobile network, as an independent end-link connection, it plays an important role in the performance of the communication system. " 

A few days ago, IMT-2020 currently defines new technologies such as large-scale antennas, new multiple access, high-frequency communications, ultra-dense networking, new network architecture, full-duplex, low-delay and highly reliable communications, and the Internet of things. 

Among them, large-scale antenna technology, based on active antenna and 3D-MIMO technology, can greatly improve the spectrum efficiency and power efficiency of wireless communication, which is the most potential research direction to support 5G mobile communication. 

2016: an excellent opportunity for the sustainable development of the antenna industry. 

According to the statistics of the authoritative consulting company in the United States in November 2015, the total shipments of base station antennas in China have exceeded more than half of the global shipments, among which two Chinese enterprises have been rated as global first-class antenna suppliers. 

In addition, in 2015, China's domestic antenna and feed system accounted for more than 30 billion yuan in total output value, and the number of base station antennas shipped exceeded 2.5 million. 

Li Yongbo, secretary general of the Antenna system Industry Alliance, said that with the development of China's mobile network and the establishment of iron tower companies, the construction of base station antennas and indoor system distribution has also played a strong role in promoting the development of the antenna industry. 

In 2015, the structure of China's antenna industry has been reasonably optimized, the number of high-tech antenna testing sites has increased rapidly, and the output value and technology of mainstream enterprises have become at the forefront of the world. China's first-class antenna enterprises may become the leading antenna enterprises in the world in the coming year. 

With the large-scale deployment of the "4G +" network of the three major operators in 2016 and the acceleration of 5G communication technology research, the development space of information and communication will continue to expand. 

Li Yongbo pointed out, "2016 will be an excellent opportunity for the sustainable development of the antenna industry, and the antenna industry will make greater achievements. We have reason to believe that under the guidance of the government and the guidance of operators, under the cooperation and innovation of industry, university and research, China's antenna industry will become the leader in the world antenna." 

The development of antenna industry: the establishment of quality evaluation system has become an urgent task. 

Although China's antenna industry has made great achievements in 2015, it still faces many problems. 

Yang Yintang, vice president of Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology, said that although China's antenna industry has played a decisive role in the world, and China's mainstream antenna enterprises have also become the world's leading enterprises, how to further strengthen the research and development of cutting-edge technology and enter the global high-end market will be the further development direction of China's antenna industry. 

In addition, in terms of antenna technology and quality standards, "although the quality of the antenna has been greatly improved in recent years, operators and manufacturers have done a lot, and enterprises and third parties have built a lot of high-quality testing environments. However, if the performance and quality of the antenna can be tested in the network environment, it will play a greater role in the control and control of antenna quality." 

Yang Yintang said. 

The importance of antenna as the eye of wireless communications is self-evident. At the same time, Yang Yintang called on the government to give more attention and support to the antenna alliance industry platform, and operators will continue to play a strong leading role to jointly promote the development of China's wireless industry and better cope with the challenges posed by network evolution to the antenna industry.

It is understood that the Antenna system Industry Alliance, established on October 12, 2011, is a social group initiated voluntarily by the antenna industry under the guidance of national policy. 

The alliance has been committed to promoting the development of China's antenna industry and building a world brand of Chinese antennas. 

At present, it has 50 member units, and this meeting is the fourth meeting held by the alliance. 

Qiao Yueshan said that since the establishment of the Antenna Industry Alliance, it has put forward a lot of demand for technological innovation for the revolutionary development of mobile communications, and has constantly guided and supported the industry and quality from the perspective of government industry executives and operators. 

"at present, the pattern of China's antenna system industry has undergone a reasonable adjustment, keeping up with the needs of the information revolution, meeting the needs of multi-frequency, multi-standard, miniaturization, big data, intensive and shared indoor and outdoor technological innovation, and occupies more than 50% of the output value in the world. It should be said that this is a remarkable achievement, and the industrial alliance has also played a coordinating and promoting role in this process of development. 

It is hoped that the alliance will continue to work hard to play a greater role in the 5G era. " 

It has been revealed that two ministries, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, are drawing up a new intelligent hardware industry from 2016 to 2018.
